When we show up on a video shoot, we come with many different lenses. Here’s just a couple of those. And the reason that we do that is because each lens produces a different look. For instance, right now, the lens that we’re using, you can see that it has a lot of space around me. You can see the background. It’s very distinguishable that I’m in the kitchen.
And this works great when the subject matter you’re talking about has to do with the background. But when it doesn’t, you can use a lens like this one. You’ll see I’m much tighter in the area behind me really disappears. You can’t tell where I am. To use the lens like this, you definitely have to have distance behind you to make it work.
