When we shoot interviews, we shoot with two cameras because it enhances the final product. A lot of people ask questions about it, so we wanted to show you why we use two cameras. For instance, if I’m being interviewed, and I’m looking off camera, someone’s asking me questions– go ahead, Sam.

What is your professional background?

Oof, my professional background– I started in broadcast journalism way back– back in 1996 at KQTV in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Yeah, I was a young reporter fresh out of college from the University of Texas Broadcast Journalism School. You’ll see all of the pauses are there. Now watch what happens when we use two cameras in editing.

I sound much smoother. We’ve taken out the pauses, the coughs, and the interviewee looks better. So that’s why we use two cameras on all our shoots.
