Thursday Tips: Scripts For Your Videos

When you’re creating a video to promote your business, it still needs to be genuine and informative. When you sit down to write a script, think about your goals. Identify your target audience and think about what you want them to do or feel when they watch your work. Video projects should inform and entertain the audience in some way. Write out the ideas for your scene, add in any visuals you want, and make it engaging.

Transcripts:

For this week’s Thursday tips, we’re talking about video scripts. We sometimes get sent a script that’s very complex with long sentences and complicated phrases. It looks like the content was taken directly from a company brochure.

And what looks good and reads good on a company brochure is not the same in a video script. You want to keep your scripts easy to understand. Think of it like you’re having a conversation with a friend. How would you talk to them? Make your video scripts match that conversation style. Make it easy to listen to, and you’re on your way to creating a great video.
